This workshop (for complete beginners to jewellery making) will teach you to bend, wrap and shape sterling silver wire, and combine it with gemstone beads to create a beautiful pair of earrings and/or pendant.

We start with copper or aluminium wire and learn some foundational techniques (like how to use loops and wrapping to keep beads in place, how to make specific shapes, and how to make ear wires) and we also look at the colours, properties and meanings of various gemstones including sodalite, aventurine, goldstone, amethyst, cultured pearls, quartz and various agates (plus more!). Then you’re free to use what you’ve learned to create your own designs in sterling silver, and to make a couple of pieces to take home.

All tools and materials are included. All you need to bring is some ideas and a willingness to get stuck in!
