Are you a Creative

Explorer too?

Hi, I’m Soozi Baggs. I took voluntary redundancy from my academic job in the summer of 2025 because I was looking for a more fulfilling and creative way of life.

Maybe you can relate to that? Maybe you haven’t taken the plunge and quit your job, but you sometimes think about how you could bring more creativity into your life…

Or maybe you’re already living your dream creative life and are looking for like minded souls. We might get on well :)

Recently I’ve been exploring howmaking, writing and being creative (in any way) can help us build resilience, and embrace reinvention and change.Which is how I ended up selling my handmade jewellery at fairs and markets, writing about creativity and mid-life career change, and running jewellery making workshops in my local town of Saltash, Cornwall.

After a few months of doing this however, I knew I wanted to establish my own creative space, that I could share with my community and build into a kind of creative haven. To bring together my jewellery making, love of arts and crafts, and the mental health benefits of making.

So this is where I’m currently at. The Creative Explorers Workshop opened in early March 2026, and is open Tuesdays to Saturdays for drop-in crafts and to buy craft kits and local handmade products. Bookable workshops are also running in the evenings and on Mondays. I’d love you to be part of my journey in some way, so feel free to pop in, contact me or subscribe to my email list so you can stay in touch.

It’s lovely to meet you and I hope to see you in the workshop soon :)
