Spinner rings are hugely popular with those who like their jewellery to make a statement or that they can fidget with! They’re also challenging to make as they are made up of at least two rings, and sometimes three or four.
In this workshop we’ll take up the challenge by making a 8-10mm wide ring out of silver sheet, which incorporates skills of measuring, cutting, texturing, annealing and soldering (and more). Then we’ll make one or two wire rings to spin round it, and learn how to flare the inner ring so that the outside one/s stay on and move freely. Whatever you make will be uniquely your own design.
If you’ve already attended a Make a Silver Ring workshop, this is a great workshop to build on the skills you’ve learned, but even if you’ve never made a ring before you’re very much welcome - don’t let a lack of experience put you off!
This workshop is 4 hours long to allow for all the different stages but there will be plenty of breaks throughout and some refreshments too. All tools and materials are provided and we’ll be using sterling silver throughout.
Please make sure you consider safety - wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back.
This workshop is limited to 6 people.
